During a half marathon during college time which was organised by the Mountaineering club of AMU, The race track was to pass through many villages and consequently village roads. Although there were many race invigilators deployed but they were stationed at designated points on the way. The race began soon and we all were running. After a few kms participants of the race developed a unique strategy to subterfuge the invigilator, whenever they saw some cycle passing they would ask a lift and do pillion riding. Soon the strategy went viral and most participants started using it to complete the race.
Many cycle riders who were on the route gladly obliged and whenever the runner would spot a invigilator he would get down and start running. I however decided to cover the journey myself and did not accept offers of help from passing villagers. When i saw that my co-runners are overtaking me by pillion riding it was a bit sad but i pursued in my resolve to complete the race honestly. Race finished in time and i was proud of completing it all by myself though bit sad noticing the fact that my rank could have been better provided it would have been a fair play. The ability to speak without lowering your eyes I discovered is a great feat and greatly enhances the self confidence. 4 years after this episode in Frankfurt, i saw one of my german colleague Dan running the full marathon of 42kms. 42 Kms was a just wow number and i got inspired to run a full marathon. I soon decided to train for it but training was irregular due to my yoga classes that I used to conduct and had only few days to train. With little training and remembering the fact that i have run in past an almost half marathon gave great courage to me. I discovered long distance running is more a game of mind rather than being of body. If 4 years ago i would have been dishonest during the process i would not have the courage to run a marathon.
8 years after episode, my conviction is rock solid that Honesty indeed is best policy. It makes you an integral individual and that is source of courage to handle challenges of life.
I recently spent around 21 days in Himalayas alone and also spent a long time staying in Ashram of Uttarkashi. In the Ashram many devotees used to come and its expected to refer women as Mataji instead of auntey ji. I had used this word number of times and it was somehow linked with woman.
Now some days later after i had recently returned from Himalayas, on my birthday on 10th oct, i decided to spend some time in India gate. I purchased an ice cream and started eating it in park. A young girl also bought ice cream. As she opened the packet inside park she dropped the plastic cover on the park ground. I had recently cleaned the gangotri pathway and clean india mission was top on my mind, i immediately reacted and said "Mataji dustbin is there". She looked at me and without saying a word picked the cover and dropped it in dustbin.
Word "Mataji"when used for young girl is surely offensive but i had no intention to hurt her. However i just blurted out it as it was on top of my mind and was associated due to staying in the traditional ashram for some days. A lot of times people do not have intentions to hurt us but they end up doing so because of some past hurts or experiences. One should learn to forgive and not give too much importance to words.
Nature blessed us with starting shower and an opportunity for me to dance in Rain :)
Was in bliss to meet my friends from Germany, Argentina and other parts of world, who have travelled thousands of kms to a different country just to experience the confluence of cultures.
The rain might have created some problems for ordinary people, but all of us were so happy that we started dancing and I saw not even one guest from abroad complain. One European friend described it as AmritVarsha :) This is the Art of living, accepting life and being happy at all times. Glad to be part of one world family.
Different musical performances by thousands of artists was an icing on cake. India has so much to offer to the world and we are just warming up.
World culture festival is a great initiative for world peace and by bringing world cultures together , we are celebrating diversity. This is the best response to threat of global terrorism world faces today.

Apropos the article "World Culture Fest to begin on shaky ground"
As an Art of living faculty who has seen the ecological conservation activities of the organisation across a dozen countries, i feel pained with the recent allegations. In 2010, i was part of campaign "Meri Dilli, Meri Yamuna", in which our volunteers fished out 512 tonnes of waste from the river. Today our volunteers are working to rejuvenate 16 dry rivers in country (12 in Maharashtra, 3 in Karnataka and 1 in TN). Infact pleased by these efforts, HC of Karnataka in 2014, directed the district administrations to replicate the project for rejuvenations of water bodies in state. Also as part of UN's 'Stand up and Take Action' initiative, we planted millions of trees all over the world and for the World culture Festival in Delhi, not a single tree has been cut. While this mega event will celebrate diversity , will bring world cultures closer and provide succour to world in times as these when world peace is threatened by global terrorism.
It happened a couple of years ago when Baba Ramdev ji who had made Yoga in India a household name, decided to enter ayurvedic medicines market. His medicines were of better quality and demand soon surpassed supply. Patanjali ayurveda decided to expand and naturally many competitors (including foreign firms) were rattled with its success. I particularly remember BBB (Big Bindi Brigade) A popular communist leader (she has the biggest bindi :P) came up with a worker of the factory and tried to air a rumour that "Patanjali products have human bones in them". This was a laughable claim and was for creating a controversy and meddling with image of indigenous company of India. And this claims never reached court and soon vanished in thin air.
Setting up an indigenous factory work wonders for Indian economy, and wealth is not drained away from country. Even during freedom struggle Gandhi ji, challanged foreign might by promoting indigenous goods. We should not forget that East India company which later ruled India came to India, merely as a trading company . Wealth of India was drained and gradually India which had a share of 25% GDP in world economy in 17 th century was reduced to meagre 2 % by time britishers left us.
By falsely concocting stories for indigenous companies only because the founder does yoga (which does not appeal to their communist mind) and whom they consider as political adversary, they are defeating the cause of India. When Baba Ramdev was attacked in Ramlila maidan , The BBB (Big Bindi Brigade) was complicit by subtly justifying the actions of government. Even when supreme court ruled against the govt action and declared right to sleep as a fundamental right, i was surprised that even thereafter TOI was criticising Baba Ramdev against his right to protest.
During my extensive tours in Europe, many wayfarers have greeted me with Namaste respecting that i am from land of Yoga. Yoga is immensely popular today in West and India can turn this fact to its advantage in international forums like UN. Our Honourable PM was then successful in requesting UN to declare June 21 as International Yoga Day. When International Yoga day was celebrated in India along with world, knowers of foreign policy would agree that it helped in betterment of Global image of India. In Foreign diplomacy these day, people to people contact is what matters most and Yoga teachers across the world have been selflessly helping India through their work. I was surprised when the BBB (Big Bindi Brigade) also criticised the celebration of Yoga day an event which can contribute so much for India. Which can help in improving the health thereby increasing our GDP and reduction of health expenses.
When PM promotes make in India, an event which if successful can reduce poverty in India by increasing wealth inside the country, BBB and RaGa(Rahul Gandhi) target the program. For God's sake , dont oppose just for the sake of opposition. There is a difference between criticism and opposition, While criticism may help up come with better policies , opposition for sake of opposition is counter productive. Today economic experts concur that implementation of GST will increase GDP by few %, and mindless opposition is not letting it, to be passed in upper house of parliament.
Today when Art of Living is organising an unique even in history of world i.e, World Culture Festival. This will be the biggest music and meditation event and is expected to attract an audience of 35 lac people including more than a lac from 150 + countries. This list of participants include past president of France, President of Nepal and Sri Lanka, Vice president of European Union among many other dignitaries including the PM of India. Such an event is like an olympic and can do a lot for the global image of India. Tourists from abroad spending in India would be an icing on the cake.
False facts are being concocted to tell this event will have effect on ecology of Yamuna. Art of living has been a very responsible organisation for ecological conservation and efforts of Art of living volunteers have led to rejuvenation of several rivers in India. Meri Dilli Meri Yamuna was a program organised by Art of living in 2010 for cleaning of Yamuna. Even this time Yamuna was full of stench and no one ventured near it, efforts of AOL volunteers have led to stench being removed.
By mindless criticism of whatever India is doing and ignoring what effect it can have for India. I can only conclude that there Adarsh liberals objective defines the title of this post :). Have a good day :)
Universe is a remarkable place and what you do has an effect on society and people around you. Have you ever noticed that looking at a carefree child also brings a sense of freedom and joy within you. If you are happy you spread positivity around and if you are sad, people around you will catch sadness too. A commander of an army who is is afraid of enemy, will lessen if not pulverise the morale of his troops. It is also seen that not just people but environment too affect the peace. In places like temples and churches, one can feel a kind of peace. Thus environment which constitutes people, pets and places too affect the way you feel.
Presence of Mahavira and Buddha
It is said that in the presence of Mahavira and Buddha, even animals forgot their violent nature and became peaceful. History is a witness how Angulimal, the dreaded robber got transformed in his presence. Spiritual practices like meditation have an effect on the person who does them and millions across the world have discovered peace, happiness and compassion through spiritual practices. Surprisingly these practices have effect not only on the people who practise them but on the environment around too.
Maharishi Effect
In 1960, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi predicted that one percent of a population practicing the Transcendental Meditation technique would produce measurable improvements in the quality of life for the whole population. This phenomenon was first noticed in 1974 and reported in a paper published in 1976. Here, the finding was that when 1% of a community practiced the Transcendental Meditation (TM®) program, the crime rate was reduced by 16% on average. Astonished at the findings, a review board was set up in 1993 and it too found out that maximum reduction in crime rate was 23.2% and probability of this event as a chance happening was 2 in a billion. So yes spiritual practices, do affect the world around and spread peace and happiness. World Culture Festival
The Art of Living is organising, perhaps the largest meditation program conceived till date in world. In Delhi where 35 lac people from 150+ countries are expected to attend the World Culture Festival. Delhi will welcome guests from across the world and shall also celebrate diverse cultures of mother earth. When 35 lacs people will sing, celebrate and meditate, vibrations of peace and happiness are bound to spread across the world. In these troubled times when organisations like ISIS have made entire world a battle ground, it holds the promise of much needed solace to the world.
When diversity will be celebrated in India and not merely tolerated, the dream of one world family or vasudhaive kutumbkam as the ancient scriptures of India proclaim. Do attend the program and be a part of this historical event in New Delhi on 11, 12th and 13th March.
The history of wars and fights among nations and humans is as old as history of Humanity. complex mesh of factors including greed, lust for power, ego among others have ensured that every age is a witness to wars. During 2nd WW, Belgium which declared itself as neutral was still invaded by German forces for an entry into France. Even ancient India which respected peace and never invaded any country in its ten thousand year old history was attacked and divided. History suggests that being peace-loving and wishing for universal good is no guarantee that you will not be attacked. Security experts concur that "In order to not fight war, you have to be ready to fight one". A nation should be grateful to its soldiers which are responsible for peace which is a result of capability to thwart any attack.

United Nations formed after 2nd WW and the damage suffered after 2nd WW have taught nations the value of International peace. All major powers being nuclear has also resulted in world peace as nuclear war would result in Mutually assured destruction (MAD) and size of army is irrelevant unlike in past.
However have pseudo-wars stopped like major wars ? The answer is No, the world has moved to third generation warfare.

During the cold war era, CIA of America was successful in balkanisation of USSR and they won by strengthening anti-USSR forces.

We were one nation during reign of Chandragupta maurya and Ashoka. Today some un-intellectuals have confused vast masses and many believe that India was born in 1947.
Since its very inception, Pakistan has been involved in proxy-wars with India. Supporting tribals in 1948 who attacked Kashmir, Kargil and 26/11 are few examples to quote. The demand for Khalistan was also supported by Pakistan. The best strategy to bring a powerful enemy to knees is to balkanise it and its playing its card well.

Un-intellectuals today have successfully confused many over what activity is anti-national and shouting these slogans is being supported and it appears that its a great patriotic activity. Lets see through the fog created by un-intellectuals. Plan of Balkanisation of India is anti national without any shadow of doubt. The first goal of any security agency in India or for that sake any country is to maintain the sovereignty and Integrity of its country.
Still doubtful ?, I give you a talisman to decide whether something is anti-national. Just think about whether an action is going to promote unity in India or division among Indians.

JNU students inadvertly falling in hand of Anti India forces - Naxalism
Communism as an ideology believes in overthrow of state power through violent revolution of Marx and establishment of truly communist society (More details about marxism can be read on wikipedia). Hence when 76 CRPF jawans were killed by Naxals , a group of students celebrated in JNU. While everyone has freedom to do what they want, but declaring war against Indian forces is not any way patriotic. PM Manmohan singh too suggested that some external forces have helped in providing arms to naxals (read China).
Hence supporting naxals would help enemy nations realise the plan of balkanisation of India.
I am surprised when these forces take the name of Dr B.R Ambedkar in their protest. Because Ambedkar ji, father of our constitution famously said that now since we have constitution, "Non democratic means need to be shunned". By celebrating deaths of Indian army and jawans, they stand in stark opposition to views and values of Dr B.R. Ambedkar.

Dividing India through dividing Indians - Dalitistan
IAS topper Roman Saini recalls his days as an MBBS student in AIIMS when a student who happened to be dalit committed suicide. His reason for the extreme step was guided by a private personal reason but JNU lobby converted this death as a dalit death for their political vulturism. By showcasing dalit discrimination when there was none, they were not helping in integrity of India.
Recently a college student, Rohith vemula committed suicide and many groups worked day and night and termed it Dalit death. It later turned out that he was not a dalit but an OBC. Rohith's father too protested against political vulturisation over his son's death but saner voices were lost in the shrill of vultures.
Indian constitution doesn't discriminate people on the basis of caste , creed or religion and our PMs, CMs and President have come from almost diverse sides. If there are some shortcomings lets work to eliminate them rather then throwing everything away.
Pakistan's dream project Khalistan fails
When Pakistan lost Bangladesh after 1971 war, it decided India should also loose something. It started supporting Khalistan project and begin heavily funding organisations for the same. Our own politicians too misread the seriousness and Indira ji who was out of power corridors for first time flirted (read supported) with Bhindranwale. He soon gained importance and nation was bought to knees and timely intervention by Army led to defeat of the plan. Even to this date many organisations abroad support khalistan and are funded by it.
I was shocked when an AAP MLA took part in a Khalistan rally in london (Today he is running from law for some other offence). The poster of Hon CM of Delhi, with Bhindranwale sent shivers down the spine of security forces. Thankfully Hon CM of Delhi has distanced himself from it. There should be no politics when nation is at stake.

Punjab too faces huge drug problems from across the border and while it takes away huge amount of money, it also spoils the life of our youths. Indian economy is also under strain due to fake Indian currency which is peddled from across the border.

If you connect the dots slogan of heading too fits in version of Mughalistan. I read in an article by an un-intellectual who opined that nation is a concept which is not stagnant and we should be ready if the nation breaks. Perhaps he was trying to justify these protest remarks.
In Panchatantra, one can read the story of a king and his pet monkey. Once in order to kill a mosquito who was sitting in lap of his master, monkey ended up killing the king. The moral thus is "A wise enemy is better than a foolish well wisher". This is assuming these un-intellectuals have good intentions.
I would like to remind these un-intellectuals the horrors when a nation breaks. When Jinnah managed to carve Pakistan out of India, by his call of direct action, million deaths followed. 25% Hindu population in Pakistan today stands to 2 % in almost 70 years. In the preclude to Bangladesh independence , lacs of Bengalis died and millions of women were raped by Pakistani Army.
And today these un-intellectuals are abusing army, If there is anything that comes between dignity of your mother and wives, its the Indian Army. Stay grateful o fools.
The Hope
In the era of Prithviraaj chauhan we had jaichands. In the era of Nawaj shuja ud daulah we had Mir jafars, there exist many mir jafars among us today and perhaps they aren't aware of the great harm they are doing for their journalistic/political career.
Don't support politicians who divide us on basis of caste or religion.
Become aware when some un-intellectual journalist exploits caste angle for supporting his/her political masters. (There are males and females and sometime couples ).
Youths should become aware of challanges India faces today and since wars are being fought on the level of Information, youths should become aware of it and respond with facts.
If you feel that news personnels are biased do question them for this will help rein them.

While Roman and Egyptian civilisations are present today only in history books, India still lives today. Dont worry we will survive this too provided we put up a united front. I dont know you but i have immense belief in the holy land of India. We have seen worse, we will survive this too.

Friends, i feel elated when people show astonishment when they know that my body is 29 years old and most find me not a day more than 24 .Recently a young doctor @Swati broke all past records and asked whether i was a graduation student :p. Well sweetheart, i graduated around 8 long years ago. While its definitely flattering but people can only see what's outside and they are not aware of my internal state. My body feels like that of a teenager to me and many souls in Germany and India complemented the wisdom i have acquired to be timeless.
I feel very enthusiastic and am rarely angry. I am always happy and smiling and without a tension or worry. Situations have remained the same but i have understood how to deal with them and smile at the unreality of tension sometimes . I remember that immediately after running full marathon of 42 kms in oct 2012 (which is a very tiring experience), i could participate immediately later in an spiritual concert organised by Yoga Vidya in Frankfurt.
However what i am experiencing is not due to something on my part but can be acquired by following a good lifestyle by anyone. Prodded by Swati Arora, i attended Art of living in 2007 November and have followed its practices since then. I don't remember a single day when i missed my daily Yoga and even managed it even while i was travelling alone in a very hectic schedule. This effort has definitely been amply rewarded and i will not tradeoff what i experience with anything earthly.
Art of living will be celebrating its 35 years very soon and Delhi will be host to around 3.5 million people coming from 150+ countries. This proves that i am not the only one who has benefitted from the teachings. And my young friends who are studying, Learn and practise this ancient art of Yoga. It will be the best gift you can give to yourself :) Trust me.
I have seen numerous wonderful souls and have them as my friends. Some are ex-investment bankers who have turned to full time service projects. Some are graduates from Harvard and London school of business and yet are humble like mother earth. I have learned a lot from them and am not proud of anything that i have achieved for anyone can get it. Yes anyone. Yoga is a scientific technique and will work for any human who can breathe.

While Chanakya, united India as a single political entity in ancient era in wake of aggression by Alexander, in the modern times, Netaji Subhash chandra bose established the first Indian National Army that fought for India’s independence.
India’s greatness projected to World
In INA, no one used to ask the religion or caste and it thus brought about National Integration and forged Indian Identity free from distinctions of caste, creed or language. News of formation of INA inspired Indians scattered all across the globe. Greatness of India was evident to the world when it came to know that INA had a Rani jhansi regiment, an all women battalion which was unique in world at that time.
Signs of a greatness in past
Subhash was a brilliant student and had deep interest in spirituality and was inspired by thoughts of Swami Vivekananda. His nationalistic temperament came to light when he was expelled for assaulting Professor Oaten for the latter's anti-India comments.
Sacrifice for Mother India
While ICS was considered as close to a royal job and selection in it was a dream come true for many. A brilliant student as he was, Netaji was selected in ICS but left it later, as he realised that ICS officers worked as tool of the British government in robbing the wealth of his poor brethrens. He inplace decided to fight for liberation of his mother country from foreign rule. His golden words to his brother Sarat chandra on this occasion will remain etched in the memory of world “Only on the soil of sacrifice and suffering can we raise our national edifice”.
Vision for Mother India
While most leaders were looking for dominion status within the British framework, Subhash stood for unqualified Swaraj (self-governance), including the use of force against the British. He left for Germany and founded Indian National Army in a foreign land. He realised that British will never give up India without fight and hence found Indian National Army.
Movements for Freedom
Satyagraha movement by Gandhi ji galvanised our society and spread the tales of british oppression far and wide. Movements like salt break and quit India movement attracted vast majority of Indians to the independence movement. However to claim that only satyagraha lead to british ouster would not be doing justice to other movements.
After conclusion of 2nd WW, British government started the trial of INA soldiers and it was to be conducted in Red Fort. News of trials spread like wild fire and the soldiers who fought for INA received support from all quarters including the Indian Army. Mutiny by Royal Indian Navy convinced the army that support of army which had protected them till date cant be taken for granted.
India achieves Independence
PM of England, Mr Attlee soon signed the transfer of power (TOP) agreement with the Indian National congress in 1947. Years later when he visited Bengal and was asked about his opinion (by Justice P.B. Chakrobortee) on what lead to British acceding to the TOP agreement with the Indian counterpart even finally, PM Attlee responded as Azad Hind fauz of Subhash chandra bose.
More than 50000 soldiers lost their life in battling the Indian forces under british control and there was mutiny of Indian navy and embers of distrust among other armed forces, With Army showing Nationalistic sparks britishers realised that their days are numbered. Everything else they could have managed using the Army but mutiny within Army. At all times there were not more than 1 lac British soldiers living in India and rest of all were natives.

Inspite of such high number of casualities in war, the unit maintained a cohesion which was unseen. Maj Gen G.D Bakshee described it as unbelievable.

However soon after India’s independence, Netaji who was once the president of Indian National Congress was not allowed to return to India and facts related to his life were hidden from public view. Investigations by journalists, suggest that Govt of India, was involved in a coverup. Anuj Dhar in his book has covered this in great detail. Presence of Subhash chandra bose would have threatened the political career of most leaders as he was a tall leader with stature similar to Gandhi ji.

Today 100 files related to his life will be released by Government of India. Lets hope they finally shed light on the unknown life of this great leader. And at atleast today we acknowledge the contributions of this great leader. Lets remember that past because a nation which forgets its past has no future.

In order to understand in a better way, Lets start with events as they happened over the past days.
Course of Events:
1. Azam Khan makes a statement that RSS people are gays and that's why they don't marry.
2. Kamlesh tiwari , leader of Hindu Mahasabha makes a statement regarding Prophet Mohammad on above lines.
3. Muslims in UP start protesting and demand head of Kamlesh tiwari.
4. Around 2.5 lac muslims assemble in Malda and start rioting, they even attacked the police station and police soon flees.
5. BSF forces are attacked too and dozens of vehicles submitted to fire.
6. Malda is burning even after 2 days.
Spiritual and Political Islam
While spiritual Islam along with Indian culture will lead to making of ideal leaders like APJ kalam, political islam will lead to creation of Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Political Islam is the combination of these thoughts progressively
l Since am believer, i will go to heaven and non believers will go to hell.
l Concept of Ummat - All muslims across the world are brothers while Non muslims are not.
l Shariat or the divine way of governance is better than any other form of rule including democracy.
l We should aspire for establishment of shariat if possible.
l ISLAM will rule the world one day.
Attack is against the state
Attack on police force actually represents lack of respect for the state and its instruments. The attack on Azad Maidan a couple of years ago where Amar Jawan Jyoti was ransacked reflected the same mindset.
The attack on police forces thus is a hiddenprotest for implementation of Shariat by showcasing the brute power of mob. It is through this power that direct action (in 1947) which lead to millions of death and eventually forced leaders to agree to partition in 1947.
Just two years ago lacs of muslims assembled in West Bengal in INDIA for support of Jamaat-e-Islami in Bangladesh. (JMI is aspiring to implement shariat in Bangladesh).
It is matter of great surprise that no one is attacked in Hindu majority India when gods of Hindu pantheon are drawn naked by M.F Hussain but hell breaks loose when it happens the other way round. I think this can be explained by bringing the concept of political Islam which progressively aims at implementation of shariat.
Flirting with Political Islam
Unfortunately for the vote bank, the so called secular parties are flirting with extrimist ideology. AIMIM was a coalition partner of UPA till some years ago. During Lok sabha election amidst calls for ouster of Bangladeshis from India, TMC a party based in India stood for the rights of Bngladeshis and threatened consequences if Bangladesghis were oustered. They were merely securing their vote bank but unfortunately leading India on way to much serious problems.
Congress too flirted with political Islam by overturning the Shah Bano judgement through passing a law in parliament.

Crisis for Indians
Citizens of India should realise that their leaders are playing with fire and for the sake of vote bank politics they are flirting with political Islam. Political Islam has created what Pakistan is today i.e, full of chaos. What to say of Hindus whose numbers have dwindled from 25 % t0 1% today, even Shias are not safe and recently house of founding father of Pakistan who was a shia muslim was blown by people. Although a tad better but something similar has happened in Bangladesh. Even Kashmir in India, has become free of Kashmiri hindus because of political Islam.
What to do ?
l As an aware citizen one should differentiate between political and spiritual Islam and should not criticise all without making above distinction, all as this will alienate all and most people practise spiritual Islam. However political Islamists make too much noise and voice of sensible people is not heard.
l Muslim leaders who respect all religions and talk of inclusiveness and are free from taints of political Islam should be supported. For e.x recently in Bengal a muslim headmaster by named Kazi was beaten up for teaching national Anthem. Such people should be supported and political parties who choose to stay mum should be reminded course correction.
l Progressive implementation of Uniform civil code should be societal ambitions as was outlined by founding fathers of our constitution.
Respect to all religions should be made compulsory and anyone spreading political Islam should not be included in Freedom of Speech as Political Islam stands for no freedom of speech and if this ideology wins then there will be no Freedom of Speech left.
What to do for Malda incident
l State govt should be pressurised to take action against rioters and if they are let free will send wrong signals to be emulated across the country.
l Media should come out and explain what is happening in Malda so that India becomes aware of this phenomenon of political Islam and nips it while it is still a child (can't use nip in bud here)
I hope sense prevails and spiritual islamists along with other Indians are able to induce some sense in Political Islamists. Political Islam has led to much damage whether its Paris, Syria, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Maldives.
Many cycle riders who were on the route gladly obliged and whenever the runner would spot a invigilator he would get down and start running. I however decided to cover the journey myself and did not accept offers of help from passing villagers. When i saw that my co-runners are overtaking me by pillion riding it was a bit sad but i pursued in my resolve to complete the race honestly. Race finished in time and i was proud of completing it all by myself though bit sad noticing the fact that my rank could have been better provided it would have been a fair play. The ability to speak without lowering your eyes I discovered is a great feat and greatly enhances the self confidence.
